I'm dressed to kill...but I had to RUN!!!

What an eventful day we had yesterday! Basically, I had to run the better half of my day, while I'm wearing my cute black dress and heels! Just before I started my day, I was surprised by the news of my friend, Raymart, who was quite enthusiastic in telling me that Leah, my officemate, was bumped by a speeding motorcycle.

I wasn't able to process it immediately because he was smiling goofily. When I indeed processed what happened, we ran to the scene of the crime (nah! just kidding). We weren't able to go there because she was already delivered safely at the gate of our building.

When I saw her, I was like "Te! Anong nangyari?!!"...She's quite shocked herself I think, but it was really brave of her that she didn't shed a single tear and was still able to joke around with us and also with Manong guard. So, all is well, and it was really a miracle that she didn't have any major injury.

Then, another bout of running is on, when my BOSSY boss (yes...) told me that he was already late for his meeting, which is 10am and its already 10:30am, and I had yet to have his driver's license scanned. So I have to run from the parking lot (which is quite far), then to our office which is at the 5th floor.

But I changed my mind and instead ran to the basement where we had the xerox machine. I decided that it saves time and I would be able to do it with less running. But alas, I still have to run for another set of tasks ahead of me.

After I gave him his ID, I remembered that I still have to quickly photocopy some handouts, print some documents, and do a quick research on 56 companies. Many tasks, limited time. I have to cram it up and do a lot of running...so I ran.

And when I indeed done these things, some still unfinished, I realized that I was running late for the awarding which is the main highlight of the day and the reason for my cute black dress and heels. So I ran outside to hail a cab and went to the venue.

But before that, the trustworthy...NOT...taxi driver had us running into circles because he didn't know where is AIM Conference Center located. It was also my first time there so I gave him a map, but he wasn't able to got me there on time, so I was still running late.

Fortunately, my day ended quite well, I met some friends, had cocktails, received an award, hitched a ride, met with Leah and Raymart, ate snack n' sip, had takeout, then was able to rest at last...albeit a lot of running during the better part of my day! :)

Keep on RUNNING...life's a race! :D
